Move Seattle Forward | Contact City Hall

We believe in a bold reimagining of policing in Seattle and also want a city that is safe for everyone. We expect our city leaders to work together to pass thoughtful legislation aimed at achieving both of these goals.

The City Council’s recent vote will reduce the Seattle Police Department by up to 100 officers through layoffs and attrition, cut the wages of police commanders and dismantle the Navigation Team that provides outreach to homeless encampments throughout the city. This comes at a time when violent crime in Seattle is on the rise and there are a record number of men, women and children experiencing homelessness.

City leaders now shift their attention to the 2021 budget, including spending on public safety, transportation and infrastructure, and parks and public spaces.

In the coming weeks, our elected city leaders will make critical decisions on the most important issues in Seattle. Working together we can move Seattle forward on critical issues around re-imagining policing, homelessness and COVID-19 economic recovery.
